DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AND KITCHEN INSTALLATION AT THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE, COVENT GARDEN
Hallmark executed the design development and completion of associated building and services works for Royal Opera House Developments, in addition to the catering equipment installation. Hallmark tendered for, and was awarded, the project by Schal Construction.
Liaising closely with consultants, architects and the client during an intense 10-month planning period, Hallmark then went on to complete the work over 10 months.
The size and complexity of the task led to Hallmark establishing a full time management team on site. Smooth progress required daily monitoring of building area, production and labour resource. The instigation of a ‘just in time’ delivery system from a central store offsite was a prerequisite for success.
